Ask anyone who has had a tattoo why they did it and they will tell you two things. One, they were making a very personal statement, usually spiritually oriented, and two, after their first tattoo they were hooked.

Tattoo is not just a method of body art; it is a very spiritual custom that dates back hundreds to thousands of years in many cultures. While there are many beautiful and breathtaking designs, most people use these tattoos as a basis or template for their own personal expression.

The majority of the time, if a client does not come in with their own personal design, they will show the artist a particular design and follow up with, “but I want to make a few changes.” So, when you are designing your own tattoo, such as with a Superman tattoo picture, there are a few tips to consider.

Location, Location, Location!

Think about where you want to put the tattoo. For instance, you wouldn’t want to put a large, flying Superman tattoo picture on your ankle. That type of tattoo is too detailed and would be rather large so it would not be appropriate for that area.

A Superman tattoo picture like that would likely be better suited on the upper arm, hip, back or even forearm. When you think about your tattoo and what type of tattoo you want(such as a Superman tattoo pic), consider where you want it to be placed.

Size Matters

Yes, when you are looking to get a tattoo, size does matter. You really can not just choose a random design or a Superman tattoo picture with no forethought because you do need to consider the size of the tatt as well as the location. Sometimes the location will even dictate the size.

A Superman tattoo picture that is, perhaps, the big S symbol that is always shown on the front of his uniform, then you can usually size that up or down according to the location.

What are Your Colors?

Choose colors that are appropriate for the tatt, but also appropriate for you. This is generally a permanent venture, so you want something that you like and will enjoy seeing on your body for the rest of your life. A Superman tattoo pic would be blue, red and yellow.

What colors are your spirit? If you are commemorating an event, what are its colors? If you are honoring someone, what colors do you associate with them? Let your color scheme work with YOU. Or choose a standard tattoo like a Superman tattoo picture and go with it.

Choose a Design that Fits Your Spirit

Choose a design or template that fits your personal spirit. The design should speak to you. If you want a Superman tattoo pic, go for it. You may wish to combine several designs to create your own. Add elements, or if you are an artist, draw your own design.

You can find many different designs and select one that suits you. You may want to bring a friend along for input, but don’t allow them to influence you too much. After all, you will be the one walking around with the tattoo, or the Superman tattoo picture, not them.

Think Twice about Adding a Name

You may have heard this many times, but it always stands to be said again. When designing your own tattoo, you may want to think twice about putting someone’s name on it. There are a few celebrities that we can look to who can attest to this. Many people put people’s names on their tatts and wind up covering the name later.

If you want to honor the love of your life by putting their name under your Superman tattoo pic, do yourself a favor and do it some other way. A tattoo is forever unless you get it covered or lasered. Save yourself the trouble.

See the Tattoos Photos of Michael Beasley Here

Miami Heat star and rookie, Michael Beasley has now checked himself into rehab for what is called depression.

Michael Beasley posted the pics on his Twitter account that was recently shut down by the service. Before the Twitter account was closed, the picture came out and is now surfacing all over the Internet. There can be some assumptions made about this and that is why the whole controversy came about.

See Michael Beasley’s Shocking Tattoo Photos Below:

According to some reports and some other well known sources around the media including stations like CBS and NBC, Michael Beasley has been reported to enter into rehab. He is being treated for what is called depression related issues that he’s going through right now. No comments have apparently been made by any of his officials or agents on this subject.

The problem really is not with the tattoo photos itself, however in the background there is a question about what is really on the table there in a clear plastic bag. Michael Beasley was drafted by the Heat as the 2nd pick in last years draft as Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls went with the first pick in the draft. No word on whether this will delay Beasley’s performance in the upcoming season.  We shall have to wait and see what the outcome is after the rehab stint.  Michael is a power forward that will soon shine for his young team if he can remain healthy.

Most Popular Free Tattoo Design

When you look for free tattoo design, it is important to know which ones are the most popular if you are in the tattoo business. The most popular designs today are:

* Stars
* Butterflies
* Fairies
* Flowers
* Dragons
* Celtic and Christian crosses
* Angels
* Skulls
* Hearts

When choosing a free tattoo design, you should know about the design and what it means. It is very cool to add a heart or a love symbol, but you should think twice about adding a name. This is especially true if you want to add your girlfriend name. What will happen if you break up? You are stuck with this name on your arm or whatever part of your body you have the tattoo for the rest of your life and your next girlfriend may not take too kindly to it. It is fine for a parent or grandparent to have the names of their children or grandchildren on a tattoo because these will last forever.

Tribal tattoos are also very popular today. They come in many different designs and contain a lot of black ink. This is advantageous in that black ink doesn fade as fast as other colors. These tattoos are very visual and you can easily create your own design. Because of the use if lines and interlocking designs, they are excellent for use on broad areas of the body such as the shoulders and upper arms.

Celtic tattoos with their intricate knots and crosses are quite popular as tattooed armbands. In addition to the Celtic cross, Celtic butterfly tattoos are also in demand. The butterfly is a symbol of rebirth and a person with such a tattoo is showing the world that he/she has gone through difficult times and is now ready to face life anew. Although you mat love the look of this butterfly design, it is important for you to know the meaning behind some of the various designs so that you don’t project the wrong image of yourself to others. For example, the Celtic knot is a symbol of eternity, while the Celtic trinity knot can have Christian, pagan or new age symbolism. The Celtic shamrock is not only the symbol of Ireland, but is also the symbol of the Catholic Church in Ireland. Each leaf of the shamrock has a particular meaning in a tattoo: Hope, Faith, Love and Luck.

Ci-Shen is the Chinese word for tattoo. While tattoos were traditionally used as a mark of punishment, many people now like to have small Chinese symbols tattooed on their body. When you choose one of these symbols, it is important that you thoroughly research its meaning before you get the tattoo. Make sure your translation source is reliable as some sources may use a loose translation that has no relation to the actual meaning. Japanese tattoos are usually small tattoos that can be completed in one sitting. Like the Chinese tattoos, the dragon features predominantly in the tattoos of this culture and the Phoenix is widely popular. This is a mythical creature that symbolizes justice and fidelity.

Why You Should Avoid Free Tribal Tattoo Flash

In your ongoing quest for a new tattoo, free tribal tattoo flash sites should be avoided at all costs. We’ve all been there. We begin our search for that new tribal tattoo and head to Google to find something free. And that is the main problem. We’ve all been there. Do you want to end up with the same tattoo as someone else on this planet? Even if you never run into that person, it is still a disappointing thought. You’ve spent all this effort with your research and you duplicate a tattoo because you went the free route.

There are better tattoo research websites out there, but they will cost a bit more up front. Is this extra price worth the cost? Well, ask yourself if you would rather have something unique on your body permanently. You are already researching the artwork. Having a better tattoo gallery to access may make all the difference between a great, show-piece tribal tattoo or a tattoo that you may end up spending good money to retouch or cover-up later.

I recommend putting a little more into your research that would save you time and possible embarrassment in the long run. The other bonus that doing this type of research gives you, is access to a community of like-minded tribal tattoo enthusiasts that can comment and help guide you in your decision making process. Plus, they can recommend trusted local tattoo parlors to get your new ink done.

I’ve been down that path of using free tattoo sites to find flash in the past, but I truly think there are better ways to find fantastic artwork that doesn’t leave you with any regrets about your choice.

Many Uses for Tattoo Magazines

Whether you simply have interest in tattoos, or they’re an essential function of your life, tattoo magazines are a fantastic way to get information about the fashionable artistic designs, interviews with riveting tattoo artists, and everything else that’s connected to tattoos.

While they have become much more accepted over the last couple of decades or so, with an increasing amount of people receiving tattoos, there’s still a sub-culture of avid hobbyists that are the primary aims of the magazines. Following the on-going tattoo tidings is not the only valuable feature in them, though.

These magazines are wonderful ideas when it comes to searching for new tattoo ideas. Whether you are a hobbyist or a professional tattoo artist with your own shop, you need to look at all the examples and designs of tattoos if you wish some ideas.

It may not happen a great deal, but when it does, it’s a wonderful feeling – 1 of the main grounds why individuals are enchanted by tattoo art.

Other reasons why these magazines are so priceless is because they present miscellaneous unique styles from all over the world. Although the internet is fantastic, there’s nevertheless nothing for tattoo artists like the feeling of the magazine pages in their hands. Stunning images, interviews with tattoo artists, classified ads, etc: everything thinkable is featured in these magazines.

Those who are new have a great deal of catching up ahead. Tattoo magazines are wonderful for helping speed up information. While they may deal more with contemporary movements, they can sometimes also talk some about the evolution of tattoos as well. The illustration work in them is stunning, and the pictures are printed out in perfect glossy vividnesses. These are only few of the numerous reasons why tattoo magazine issues are so wonderful.

Celtic cross tattoos are the most powerful way of expressing your faith in God’s love. The cross is regarded mainly as a symbolization of Christianity nowadays. The Pagan followers consider it as the symbol of sun demonstrating its life-giving qualities. The designs of Celtic cross tattoos have gained the attention of thousands of people from all over the world and they are the most popular tattoo designs now. People of Celtic ancestry wear the cross tattoos to show their respect to their ancient culture.

Celtic cross tattoos with knotwork are a more complicated design since they symbolize the complexity of nature. The knots in the spirals and mazes show the reflective nature of the four seasons, the circle around the cross depicts the ancient religious meaning.

The Celtic cross is represented well in the Book of Kells. In fact, many religious cultures have The Celtic cross as the system of symbols. Hence, there is no wonder why many people have a high regard for Celtic cross tattoos.

Celtic cross tattoos have a deep connection to pre-Christian religion. When the ancient Celtic people converted into Christianity, naturally the Celtic cross became a symbol of Celtic Christianity. Ireland offers so many variations of the Celtic cross. Celtic cross tattoos are awesome in appearance, there is no denying this, and the legend of Celtic history now continues to grow in the form of Celtic cross tattoos.

Celtic cross tattoos are indeed found in ancient Bible manuscripts. Many elaborate Celtic designs are inspired by the fabulous drawings found in those books. These Celtic cross tattoos are not only beautiful but when used as tattoos – they are also flexible. You can use them to be tattooed as small armbands or you can ink them in the entire back area. The designs can be either simple or complicated. Whatever the design, they express the importance of emotions rather than a physical object which shows the powerful meaning of life.

Many Celtic cross tattoos feature the beautiful artwork of ancient Celtic knot work. These represent ethnic heritage and faith. The four points in the cross represent the four parts of man or the four elements that include earth, wind, fire and water or the four points in the compass. Celtic cross tattoos with circle symbolize the love of God or the majesty of the Sun God according to Pagan beliefs.

Though different people may have different meaning for the symbol, Celtic cross tattoos are something that can evoke the spiritual emotions of people. Again, the flexible style and decorative nature of the designs gain great popularity among tattoo lovers. Importantly, the size of the cross can be reproduced easily to ink them anywhere on the body.

It is important to know the meaning of the Celtic cross tattoos before wearing it. A common person may not understand the meaning of these symbols. However, I must admit there is a growing awareness of Celtic culture nowadays; it is almost a popular trend to be versed in Celtic culture. You need to take the appropriate care to avoid misrepresenting the design. Be sure to check out online galleries – there is a plethora of quality designs available only if you know where to look. Choose the right design, think hard about the placement, ignore the critics and you will have no regrets.

Tribal Cross Tattoos and Holy Cross Tattoos

For thousands of years, crosses have been used in all types of Christian faith. The holy cross tattoos are a simple design that has taken on many forms, especially among tribal art tattoos. Tribal cross tattoos have become main-stream in tattoo parlors around the world, and known for their distinct look of heavy black lined ink and beautiful bold shapes. Originally this style of art was inspired by the Maori tribe and has now been adopted by many modern day groups such as the Gothics with their Gothic Cross Tattoos.

Even as there are many different styles or versions of the cross, the meaning is all the same in sentiment or tradition. Tribal cross tattoos and celtic cross tattoos are the top choice among tattoo seekers; they have so many interesting and unique designs that can be incorporated. Most people who seek out tattoos do so for sentimental reasons or to show their heritage pride. The holy cross tattoos are less a religious statement and more often used combined with a tribal tattoos cross for ornamental looks. A simple cross has four sections which we call the “cardinal points”, and have been interpreted among the Christian faiths as the world separated into four elements. It is also said among the Christians that the never-ending lines represent the divinity and the world.

What makes a tribal cross tattoos such a sought after design is the fact that they combine the ordinary cross with the beauty of tribal art. Tribal cross tattoos can be done in the traditional black only ink but also have been seen in beautiful tribal colors such as red, green, blue and purple. When colorful flowers or fairies are added to it, it can be a beautiful design choice for women who prefer a more feminine look.

The Celtic cross is another form of the holy cross tattoo used in the Catholic churches in Ireland and around the world, and it is also considered tribal. There has been, over the years, some debate as to whether the cross is indeed a Christian symbol, simply because it dates back to before Christianity, to the British Isles.
