Any ideas on how to shade a latin cross tattoo?

I have a latin cross tattoo on my back which is empty. Any ideas on how I can fill it in?

A picture would be helpful.
What I would do is go into a tattoo shop and ask the artist his or her opinion on it. They are artists and have great inspiration from their own minds. You might even get a cheaper deal letting them do what they think would look best.
shade normally, but not too hard, hold the pencil just under a 45 degree angle and shade in one direction. dont worry about the lines that appear on the page, that's normal. use a q-tip (ear bud) and shade/smudge along the lines. or you could use cotton balls and apply more pencil in the same direction as before, smudge. do this until you have the tone you want. dont EVER smudge the pencil with your fingers, this just messes it up because your skin contains oil that is likely to leave fingerprints and make your shading blotchy.
