Do Tattoos Hurt On Your Shoulder Blade?

I was thinking about getting a cross tattoo on drugs without prescription my left shoulder blade and was wondering what is that pain rating?

I got one on my left shoulder blade… thought it would be okay but there was definetly some pain involved! On a scale from one to ten (ten being horrific) it was about a 6 or 7, more like a 7 — but I wouldn’t take it back for the world! Have fun!
everyone reacts to the pain of tattoos differently, so that’s not really a question that’s easy to answer. I have one on my shoulder blade and the pain was quite bearable. in fact, I think it was one of my easier ones. I also have one on my lower back and it was bearable as well. however, I just got one on my upper back, right below my neck and it hurt like a *****. the outline was horrible and I was sweating the entire time. but, like most tattooed people, I want more b/c the pain is an addictive rush.
When those endorphins kick in, it is a pleasurable pain. I remember mine feeling like someone pouring warm oil over my head…I can see why people get addicted to getting tattooed
Any place where there’s not a lot of flesh over the bone will hurt more. I have one between my shoulder blades, over my spine and it hurt quite a bit more than the other two (although it also took a lot longer, so that’s part of it.) Everyone’s pain threshhold is different, though.
I do not have tatoos but know people who got them on the shoulder blade and they say it is some of the worst pain ever but they also said it was worth it. So I dont know if you want the tatoo there bad enough to go through that much pain. Your call. I would advise finding a spot that is not on a bone. The fattier the area the better.

the pain won’t be to bad cause your back isn’t very sensitive, but what will make it bad is the fact that there is a bone there. on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst pain i would say 5 or 6.
yeah once they get started on it you will probably get what they call an “ink high”. it feels painfully good.
I’d say from 1-10, it would be about a 5. It is closer to the bone, and those tend to hurt more, but there is still some depth, so it’s not as bad as getting it in the middle (along the spine).
I have two, one on my left shoulder blade and one on my right rib cage.
The rib cage hurt pretty bad, but it was manageable.
Compared to that, the shoulder blade didn’t hurt at all. It’s a pretty easy spot to get one as there is a decent amount of muscle to cover the bone.

I have a tatto on my right shoulder blade. I think it is important to realize tattos hurt. I liken the pain to getting splattered with hot grease while cooking but for a longer period of time. I have a few tattos, I noticed with each one that once you relax and find your center and your body accepts the pain it does not hurt as much.
Fattier parts of the body were easier for me, calf, chest above the breast area, etc. Parts of the body that were more bone, did hurt a bit more.
Bottom line it hurts, but if you are serious about your body art then you will deal with it.
Mine did but just for a few minutes! it hurt and then my adrenaline kicked in and it was fine.. good luck!

Been making bread in the food processor for years. Don't waste your time with that plastic blade. Use the metal blade. Thats the chopping blade. The dough blade is a waste of plastic.
I collect cookbooks, and the commentary in the bread making books that I have all direct me to using the metal blade. To be fair, 3 of my cook books frown on using a food processor altogether.
