I received my first gun at around 10 and I was responsible with it. But my Dad made sure I knew everything there was to know about gun safety and hunter safety. But I think giving a kid a shotgun and not explaining anything to him is just irresponsible.

I had a shotgun it was a 16 gauge single shot for birthday. My 10th.. Then when I was 12- I got a 10 shot semi.. I dont know- but I NEVER hurt myself or others..
