Which direction should a cross tattoo face?

I want to get a tattoo of a cross on my forearm, but I don't know which side should be the bottom and which should be the top.
To clarify, I don't know if the bottom of the cross should be closer to my wrist or my elbow. Some say that it's bad if you have a cross upside down, but to me, a person spends more time with their arms by their sides, so if the bottom of the cross is near the wrist, it would be right side up.
Any opinions?

Bottom at wrist. For exactly the reason you stated.
You want the image to be upright to someone looking at your arm, when it is hanging down your side. Otherwise, you will have an upside down cross, and everyone will think that you’re a devil worshipper or something, and you will be explaining it your whole life! Same with other images = feet on the ground, head to the sky, or it just looks dorky.
It’s confusing, because you are thinking of how you see it, and not how it will be perceived.
So, bottom of cross close to wrist.
