Why do Mexican gangs often have paraphernalia and tattoos that feature Jesus and crosses so prominently?

Do they really think that Jesus would have been in support cheap drugs without prescription of, or condones from above, drugs, violence, murder, etc?

Because most were raised Catholic. Hypocrisy has always been a strong suit of Christians.

Firstly, it is not just Mexican gangs that have tattoos that feature Jesus and crosses. Pretty much all gang members do. And who knows the reason behind them? Maybe they believe it would make up for the bad they have done, or maybe it’s just symbolism to them. Don’t really know.

I know,they always have rosary’s and other Catholic symbols but a lot of them are in gangs and teenage parents. The excuse I hear for teen pregnancy is, “The catholic church doesn’t believe in abortion. Well the Catholic Church doesn’t condone pre- marital sex either.
