Why Do People Get Tattoos Of Crosses, Or Anything For That Matter?

aren't tattoos considered bad? like we aren't supposed to tag up our body...so why do people get tattoos of crosses, or a big Jesus face on their back...
so doesn't this count for piercings as well?
there is a girl at work...she is a stripper...and she has a big face of Jesus tatooed on her shoulder...isn't that just downright wrong in every aspect? please enlighten me here.

I have a tattoo on the back of my right shoulder. I have always felt it there even though I hadn’t had it done yet. I waited 9 years before I decided that I would make it so everyone else could see it. If it is a sin then so be it. It doesn’t change the fact that I have it, wanted it, or always felt it was there. I am pretty sure God knows and doesn’t need “people” to condemn me for it for his sake.
An argument could be made against tattoos under the old Levitical laws. There are some who insist on following the old laws, but tend to pick and choose which to follow. Yet, one cannot pick and choose, if we lived under the old Levitical laws we would be subject to all of them, not just the ones we liked. However, Jesus fulfilled those laws so that we no longer live under them; instead, those of us who have been born-again through the Holy Spirit now live under grace.
As for the stripper…well, people say and do lots of things without thinking about what they are saying and doing. Either way, God still loves her and desires to see her come to Him through Christ.
Those of us who have been through changes in our lives are able to see the folly of permanent body art.
I have many Tattoes:
Four Son’s names on my chest
Three grandchildren on my calves
My University & logo on one arm
Mothers of my children (names) on other arm
These are important to me…..!!!
I am civilized!!!
I wear clothes!!!
These are for myself…With me!!!
People have been decorating their bodies since first Civilizations!!!
Tattoes are personal: for my ’self’, not the public!!!
Look at Yourself first; most likely much money WASTED on un-necessary jewelry including many expensive errings, rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches which have no value to you except ,probably to show off your ‘imagined’ social standing….lol
Having tattoos is bad attitude is a moral issue, not a spiritual.
Yes we need to take care for our bodies, and coloring our skin, to only want to remove it later definately isn’t wise!
But if you find that a tattoo makes you more pretty, then have one!
Nowhere in the bible tattoos are being called a sin!
But if it was me, and I wanted to marry a girl, I would want her to have no more then 2 small tatoos (one of which on her back).
And, the tatoos need to be beautifull.
Just a tatoo saying: I love mama, or a huge harley davidson on her back doesn’t really turn me on either!
If it’s nice and fashionable, why not?

I know of another woman who gotten saved out of the strip bars by someone giving her an invitationcard to church.
Later on the church moved, and the girl was left alone again.
She (frustrated) tried her best to let people know of God, but noone wanted to listen, went back to the strip bars.
Later on, someone entered the strip bar preaching about Jesus.
Everyone threw things at this fella, except for the woman.
She protected him… I don’t know what happened between them, if they got married after that or not.
But all I’m saying is that we shouldn’t judge people for their appearances.
Not in every place there’s a church in a 30minutes by car radius.
To use this setup you might follow these steps:

I assume no responsibility for any injury, death, or any damage to equipment resulting from the use or misuse of the following information.)
Make sure both ball valves are closed.
Make sure your CA adaptor's pin depress is all the way out. (such that it will not open the CA bottle's pin valve when the CA bottle is screwed on).
Inspect the O-Ring on your CA bottle before attaching the bottle to the CA adaptor. Replace if necessary. Attach the bottle to the CA adaptor by screwing it in as you would screw the bottle into a gun.
Screw in the CA adaptor's pin depress. You should hear and feel the fill station's hose charge with some of the left over air in your CA tank.
Slowly open ball valve #2 (the valve farthest from the bulk cylinder's main valve).
If you have a couple of ounces of air left in your CA tank you will be able to cool the tank while you drain it. You can encourage this by rapidly rotating the CA tank upside down, then rightside up, etc., while opening valve #2 completely. Drain your bottle completely. Do not attempt to fill a partially full bottle!
If the tank is not nice and chilled, you're going to need to chill it through the following steps.
Close ball valve #2.
Open the bulk cylinder's main valve if not already open.
Open ball valve #1 for 3 or 4 seconds then close it. This will put a few ounces of air into the CA tank. Be careful with small tanks like 3.5oz as these can fill very fast. For small tanks only keep valve #1 open for a 2 seconds or so.
Go to step 5 above.
Now you should hang your CA bottle (by the still attached CA adaptor) on your digital fish scale (available from Wall Mart for about $20.) Zero out the scale by turning it off and back on, while the bottle is hanging from it.
Open the bulk cylinder's main valve, if not already open.
Turn on ball valve #1 completely. Watch the scale and close valve #1 when the scale reads 1 to .5 ounces under the bottle's capacity. That is, only fill your 7 ounce bottles to about 6 ounces. Do not over fill your bottles.
Close the bulk cylinder's main valve.
Unscrew the CA adaptor pin depress until it is completely disengaged.
Open valve #2 to drain the compressed CO2 still in the hose.
Unscrew your newly filled tank from the CA adaptor.
I got my CO2 cylinder from the local motor parts/wielding supply. $120 for 50 lbs. Refills cost about $20. You might need to explain to the sales droid what a "siphon bottle" is. Don't buy one unless it has "siphon" or "tip tube" clearly stamped or painting on the side. A non-siphon bottle will not work for you.
I got my fill station from Paintball Mania. It cost about $80. If you're really clever you can probably get one cheaper than this.
I got my scale from WalMart for about $20.

Most people like to talk about themselves. If you learn to become a good listener people will want to be with you. Often when you are asked a question you can avoid answering it by asking the same question.
For example, if somebody asked you what was your opinion of a particular TV show, you could respond by saying "That's an interesting question, what did you think of it?" You have turned the question around and avoided having to give your opinion.
If somebody inquires about your family you could reply by saying "That's coincidental, I was just about to ask you the same question, are both your parents well?"
Likes would be the best measure, but this should have been cross-posted to some large groups. (Oh, I see you have a script.)
I waited until I was all grown up to get my first tattoo and I was 110% sure about it. That you need to ask these questions, indicates that you are not sure.
Please wait until you are and then do it for yourself.
